"Love your Ornaments" could be the motto of Haus Winterstein. The lavish plasterwork of the stunning corner building embellishes the entire lines of sight along Wintersteinstrasse and Brauhofstrasse. And the interior of Haus Winterstein lives up to the promise of its façade. Three historic staircases defined by artful details take you up to the flats, which in turn are mostly decorated with sought historic details such as tall ceilings, plasterwork and board floors.
A total of 27 flats and 3 commercial units offer a wide range of unit sizes: Waiting behind historic coffered doors are flats of 1 to 4 bedrooms, measuring 36 to 154 sqm in size. The spectrum is equally varied as far as the need for refurbishment goes: from flats ready for occupancy all the way to units that require extensive work to restore the historic details to their former splendour.
Haus Winterstein is located in the sub-district of Alt-Charlottenburg. Somewhat remote while being close to downtown, life strikes a slower pace here. Perhaps because distances are so short that there is never any need to hurry. The riverbank is 100 metres away, and it is barely 600 metres to Charlottenburg Palace with its magnificent park. A short bicycle ride will take you to several museums, and just 10 minutes of cycling will take you to the parklands of Tiergarten and Lietzensee.
