The striking corner building with the address Warschauer Strasse 65 / Kopernikusstrasse 30 is a true Berlin classic. Although built in 1928/29, there is nothing in the magnificently decorated entranceway that suggests that these were the years of the great depression. Plaster ornaments, expensive mosaic floors, artfully turned hand railings and massive, decorated wooden apartment entrance doors. Again, an obvious classic. As such, this painstakingly refurbished property counts among the few period buildings that are still available on Warschauer Strasse. It is the perfect place for those who fancy the authentic side of Berlin.
Friedrichshain—you either love it or hate it. There are so many different types of people living side by side and interacting face to face here in a perfectly harmonious bustle. Just as diverse as the human spectrum of Friedrichshain are the stores, bars, pubs, clubs and cafés in the quarter—and most of them are located right around the corner from Warschauer Strasse and Kopernikusstrasse. The same diversity informs the entire local infrastructure, from doctors’ offices to yoga studios.
